Our approach to AI funding
Use the best model for the work.
We want you to choose capable models and use them well. Our business is the shared workspace: running projects, collaborating with colleagues and continuing the work.
Our goal is to earn from the service we provide, rather than steer you toward cheaper models to increase our margin. Bringing your AI source makes the model choice and its costs easier to see. This is our product direction, not a promise that every source has the same price or limits.
Prefer usage-based billing? Bring an API key.
You can connect an OpenAI API key and pay the provider for every model call. For ongoing agent work, this can become expensive. A ChatGPT subscription is the better starting point for most people.
Already pay for ChatGPT? Start there.
Connect a supported ChatGPT subscription and use its available allowance for Hodman tasks. If you do not have one, we recommend starting with a subscription instead of paying for ongoing work through the API. We currently support ChatGPT subscriptions and plan to connect more providers.
Platform Credits are another option.
Buy $5, $10 or $20 in platform Credits. Only GPT-5.6 Luna and GPT-5.6 Terra are available with platform Credits.
On-premises is available with Ultra.
Run projects on infrastructure you control while Hodman remains the workspace for your team. Your server and AI provider are paid separately.
